Not long ago, I saw a rather disheveled looking character holding a cardboard sign at a busy intersection. As I watched, it seemed that most of the people in cars that passed him were giving him some money. As I crossed, I looked at his sign and smiled. It read something like, "I need money for beer! Please help!" I asked him how he was doing. He smiled broadly, held up a fist full of cash and said, "I've almost got enough for a keg!" True story. Moral: Honesty pays.
